Fred has been practicing law in the Ann Arbor area for over 30 years. He is a third generation lawyer. Fred's grandfather, Jacob Fahrner, began practicing law in the Ann Arbor area in 1910 and served as the Washtenaw County prosecutor. Fred's father, Jacob Fahrner Jr., was the Ann Arbor City Attorney. Fred is active in community affairs having served on the boards of the Washtenaw County Bar Association, the Child Care Network as its Treasurer and is a former President of the Dexter Rotary Club. He volunteers his time on a regular basis by mentoring college students, assisting with the Dexter community garden, delivering produce for a food bank, and generally helping out where needed.
Fred's areas of practice include estate planning, probate, family law, and real estate. He has chosen to focus on these areas devoting all his time, resources and energy to providing excellent legal services. He has prepared thousands of estate plans and handled hundreds of divorces and real estate transactions.
His office is conveniently located on Zeeb Road near Jackson Road, just off I-94 in Ann Arbor and includes free parking and is handicap accessible.
